Temperature Switches

The temperature switch is designed for direct mounting applications, which require rugged, dependable warning or shutdown, when high temperatures are encountered.

Unlike capillary type units this unit must be mounted such that the entire short stem and body get heated.

This unit is used for protection of gasoline and diesel engines and other applications where a simple, rugged device is required.

Its function is to open or close a circuit, using a precision snap action switch, when temperature rises to a predetermined point. The unit resets automatically, when system parameters return to normal level. Set points between 80°C and 130°C are possible.

The unit is available in a 4 terminal single pole - double throw - double break configuration with 2 BA screw terminals.

Thus two independent circuits, one normally open and one normally closed, are possible.

The precision, double break, snap action micro switch is rated for 24 V DC, 2 A inductive load, or 24 V DC 6 A resistive load. The mounting threading is 1/2" NPT.
